PANAMA CITY BEACH — Michael Duderstadt of the Panama City Swim Team won seven individual events in the Senior Boys division and was part of a victorious relay team at the Mac Crutchfield Invitational held in Tallahassee last weekend.
PCST teammates Luke Maggiore (8-under Boys) won four events, and Kalanne Krause (13-14 Girls) collected three individual wins. Michael Whitehead (Senior Boys) added one win and joined Duderstadt, Jonathan Ratliff and Casey Pridgen on the first-place freestyle relay team. Amelia Talkington (11-12 Girls) and Chloe Griskie (10-under Girls) also won one event, and Nico Gobel, Ben Hicks, Matt Dean and Cole Tillman teamed to win the 11-12 Boys freestyle relay.
Maddie Campbell, 12, became the 26th Tsunami swimmer to qualify for the Southeastern Short Course Championships in Nashville, Tenn., on Feb. 21-24.
Fifty-one PCST swimmers competed in the Crutchfield meet, and another 22 swimmers traveled to Fort Walton Beach for the Rick Byers Memorial swim meet. Khloe Smith (8-under Girls) and Marisa Ashley (10-under Girls) each earned high-point honors in their respective age groups. Smith won seven events, and Ashley won four.
PCST swimmers will compete at the Southeastern District South Championships on Feb. 16 and 17 in Pensacola.
