ORLANDO — Bay senior Aaron Kaufman improved his region-qualifying time by more than a half-second while finishing 20th in the 100-yard butterfly at the Class 1A state swimming and diving championships on Saturday.
Kaufman was timed in 54.97 seconds compared to his qualifying time of 55.62.
Later Kaufman teamed with Carter Barlup, Jim Lewandowski and Dylan Mock on the Tornadoes’ 400-yard freestyle relay quartet that placed 16th.
