Basketball games are often won or lost at the free throw line. Nobody needs to tell the Mosley girls’ team that after Saturday.
Mosley missed the front-end of a one-and-one free throw attempt, and then had to watch as Pace converted four straight free throws to earn a 43-42 victory over the Dolphins in the championship game of the Pace Holiday Tournament. Pace erased a three-point deficit in the final 30 seconds.
Alexis Ware led Mosley with 17 points; Kiana Yangson added 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and had five rebounds; Segovia Goodin had 14 rebounds, five assists and five steals; and Hennessey Smith had 10 rebounds.
Mosley (13-4) does not play this coming week and returns to action at Crestview on Jan. 8
