FORT WALTON BEACH — Alexis Ware scored 16 points and added seven rebounds, as Mosley cruised over T.R. Miller of Alabama 61-12 in the Choctawhatchee Thanksgiving prep girls basketball tournament on Monday.
Segovia Goodin had 12 points and four steals. Hennessey 10 points and four assists, Kiana Yangson seven steals and seven points and Hazel White nine points for Mosley (4-0), which plays Niceville today at 6 p.m.
Marianna 39, Rutherford 37
MARIANNA — Danielle Holden scored 10 points to pace Marianna. Tatyanna Bell scored 14 and Leah Watson nine for the Rams (0-2), who are at Blountstown on Monday. Marianna won the JV game 42-24. Shavaria Hill had 14 points for Rutherford.
Holmes County 64, Freeport 32
BONIFAY — Selena Long had 12 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists to help Holmes County double-up Freeport. Makayla Moore had 13 points, two assists, two steals and one rebound and Karlisha Works and Hannah Prescott nine points each for Holmes County (2-1), which hosts Cottondale tonight. Holmes County won the JV game 45-9 in improving to 3-0.
Ponce de Leon 55, Sneads 31
PONCE DE LEON — Hannah Howell had 18 points and nine rebounds, JoJo Carlson 11 points and Ashley Harper 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Pirates (3-0, 1-0 District 3-1A), who are at Vernon on Monday.
Arnold 54, Bozeman 35
PANAMA CITY — Cameron Britton led Arnold with 21 points, while B.J. Murray scored 13 and Nick Clark seven and added four assists for the Marlins. Ryan Peltonan had 10 points to lead Bozeman, while Christian Byrd scored seven and Herbie Harrell six. Bozeman won the JV game 52-25. Ryan Thomas scored 11, Mason Overton nine and Dolan Poole and Tommy Nguyen each seven for the Marlins.
Arnold (1-0) hosts Walton on Tuesday.
Chipley 65, Freeport 18
CHIPLEY — Trentt Forrest had 21 points to lead Chipley to a season-opening win. Kalen Lovette added 10 points for Chipley (1-0), which hosts Baker on Tuesday.
Port St. Joe 72, FAMU 61
PORT ST. JOE — T.J. Williams had 20 points and six assists in Port St. Joe’s opening victory. Chad Quinn had 18 points, Natrone Lee 17 points and six rebounds and Ramello Zaccarro 16 rebounds and eight points for the Tiger Sharks (1-0), who host North Bay Haven Nov. 27.
Port St. Joe won the JV game 53-39. Sergio Clemons had 11 points to lead Port St. Joe.
