LYNN HAVEN — Alexis Ware scored 25 points and Mosley continued its surge with a 71-35 victory over Port St. Joe in a girls prep basketball matchup on Thursday.
The Dolphins cruised to their third straight victory in a game that was staged in the early afternoon in front of the student body at the Jim Redfern Gymnasium. Mosley improved to 10-3 and has displayed resurgence after dropping three of four games against Fort Walton Beach and powerful Choctawhatchee twice between Nov. 27-Dec. 7.
Ware handed out four assists in the rout against Port St. Joe, which has become the perennial afternoon opponent. Kiana Yangson added 19 points and five steals and J’nyiah Daniels 11 points and six assists. Hennessey Smith had 10 rebounds and six points and Segovia Goodin 10 rebounds for the victors.
Mosley is at Marianna on Tuesday and hosts Navarre Dec. 20 before starting play in the Pace Christmas Classic against Tate Dec. 27. Mosley is slated to play games on Dec. 28 and 29 as well.
Arnold 54, Walton 51
DEFUNIAK SPRINGS — JoJo Booker scored 18 points, including shooting 12 of 15 from the free-throw line to pace Arnold. Nina McClanahan added 13 points on the strength of three 3-pointers for the Marlins, who rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit. Arnold (4-3) hosts Rutherford on Tuesday.
Walton won the JV game 41-14. Summer Simmons and Jessica Pavlov each had five points for Arnold.

WEWAHITCHKA — Jessica Smith scored 21 points to lead Wewahitchka, while Tara Walding added six points and Mallory Peak 15 rebounds. The Gators (1-6) are at Vernon today.

FREEPORT — Cameron Britton scored 15 points, Bevon Stewart 10, Jauan White nine and Nick Clark eight for Arnold (2-5), which is at Tallahassee North Florida Christian on Saturday. Arnold won the JV game 61-27. Josh Langford scored 16 points and Mason Oberton 15 for Arnold (3-4).

PANAMA CITY — Herbie Harrell scored 23 points, Brandon Suttles 21, Ryan Peltonen nine for the Bucks (5-5), who host West Gadsden on Tuesday. Bozeman won the JV game 40-33. Daylan Propper scored 11 points for the Bucks.
Wewahitchka 80, Sneads 64
WEWAHITCHKA — Raheem Wright led Wewahitchka with 27 points while finishing with a double-double with 12 rebounds. Clay Sasser added 18 points and Jabar Hill grabbed 13 rebounds for the Gators (5-2), who are at Vernon tonight. Sneads won the JV game 35-29. Jeff Hunter had 15 points and Tanner Harden eight for the Gators.

CHIPLEY — Trent Forrest scored 15 points, Kobe McCrary 12 and Tyrome Sharpe 10 for Chipley in staying unbeaten. Nat Dixon led Mosley (2-6) with 14 points. The Tigers (6-0) are at Graceville today. Chipley won the JV game 60-48. Dalton Jones scored 14, Brien Polter 13 and Trey Trzaska 12 for the Dolphins, who are at Marianna on Tuesday.
