Girls XC leads way in Bay County gpa

Girls cross country runners had the highest grade-point average by sport, and Mosley had the highest GPA in the county for all of its fall sports athletes in results released by Bay District Schools this week.

Girls cross country averaged 3.95 on a 4.0 scale with girls golf next at 3.80. Mosley athletes combined for a 3.52 GPA.

The results:

Average GPA by fall sport: Boys cross country 3.48, girls cross country 3.95, football 3.01, boys golf 3.35, girls golf 3.80, boys swimming and diving 3.50, girls swimming and diving 3.69, volleyball 3.67.

Average GPA by school: Arnold 3.26, Bay 3.51, Bozeman 2.99, Mosley 3.52, Rutherford 3.42. County average 3.39.

Highest GPA by sport: Boys cross country, Bay 4.26; girls cross country, Bay 4.20; boys golf, Mosley 3.89; girls golf, Bay 4.21; football, Mosley 3.24; boys swimming and diving, Bay 3.69; girls swimming and diving, Rutherford 3.83; volleyball, Mosley 3.96.
