KISSIMMEE — Area girls weightlifters were shut out in the all-class state tournament held at the Kissimmee Civic Center.
Makaila Barton of Altha posted the top area performance by placing 10th at 139 pounds. Sabrina Anderson of Mosley had the best county finish placing 13th at 139.
Navarre totaled 24 points to edge Spruce Creek by a point for the team championship. Timber Creek was third with 20, Gainesville fourth with 13, Sebastian River fifth with 12 and Choctawhatchee sixth with 11.
