NICEVILLE — Arnold rising senior Lindsey Harrison shot rounds of 77 and 76 to win the 15-18 division in the Emerald Coast Junior Golf Tour stop at Rocky Bayou Country Club concluded on Friday.
Harrison rallied on the second day of the tournament, which included a 90-minute rain delay. She bested first-day leader Jade Sanders by one stroke for the title after the latter shot a second-round 78.
Harrison recorded eight pars, one birdie and two bogeys on her final 11 holes. Pars on the last two holes were critical, as Sanders closed with a flourish but was unable to forge past one of the best girls golfers in Bay County.
The Marlins’ standout was 27th in last season’s FHSAA Class 2A state tournament. She steadily improved her regional standing and qualified for her first state event as a junior.
