In a game that Pace led 21-17 at halftime, the Patriots held Fort Walton Beach scoreless in the second half to earn a 31-17 home win, giving the Vikings their second-straight loss.

Pace (3-4) got a one-yard touchdown run from John Martin to take an early 7-0 lead, which the Vikings answered quickly with a 61-yard TD run by sophomore Antonio Marshall. When the extra point sailed wide, the Vikings trailed 7-6.

Martin would add another 1-yard scoring plunge to give Pace a 14-6 lead after one quarter, and that lead would balloon to 21-9 midway through the second when tailback Quaide Weimerskirch scored on a three-yard run.

Senior wideout Marquese Davenport cut the lead to 21-17 late in the first half, scoring on a six-yard run before adding the two-point conversion to cut the Pace lead to 21-17. That would be as close as the Vikings would get, as Pace added 10 unanswered points, led by a nine-yard TD catch by Martin, to pull away for the 14-point win.

Now 3-4, Fort Walton Beach will return home on Friday to host county rival Niceville.
