LAKELAND — Panama City native Darrien Mack, a senior at Eckerd College, has been tabbed a first-team selection on the Daktronics NCAA Division II All-South Region men’s basketball team.
Mack, who was also named an All-Sunshine State Conference first-team selection earlier this year, led his conference in scoring (18.1) and rebounding (8.0). He was third in the league in field goal percentage (56.3) and steals (2.3).
As a result of his latest commendation, the Rutherford graduate now is eligible to be selected for All-American honors. The All-American team will be named March 21.
